Review: Cryptids, Creatures & Critters

I’m a natural born sucker for fantasy. Bring that same fantasy, things that should be impossible, to real life, and I am all yours. I have this fascination for impossible creatures. Some call them cryptids, some monsters, others just figures and characters from folklore and mythology. I call them culture. That’s why I decided to get my hands on Cryptids, Creatures & Critters: A Manual of Monsters & Mythos from Around the World, by Rachel Quinney.

Sometimes, the Mead of Poetry works indirectly. An old rock ‘n’ roll song is stuck on repeat in my head, spinning unceasingly between my ears. Actually, it’s not even an entire song. It’s just a verse or a chorus or sometimes only a line or two. Someone else’s creative creation gets lodged in there, doing work on my mind that only I can hear.

Kerli’s OVERSOUL is musical magick

Kerli released each song on OVERSOUL as a single, one each month. I felt the magic and the power in each of them. The lyrics are direct and evocative, auditive spells that help the listener manifest the kind of reality they need depending on the case. When listened to as one whole disc, we get a full ritual that recharges, empowers, and cleanses us.
