Although Operation Metro Surge has drawn down, its affects on the Twin Cities continues. Two prominent Heathen organizations have issued statements supporting the people of Minnesota.
WMore than 75,000 marched in Minneapolis demanding ICE leave the Twin Cities. Stone Circle Wicca answered a clergy call in solidarity, framing resistance as a sacred duty rooted in humanization, interfaith cooperation, and the defense of dignity through sustained, community-centered action.
“When we choose to honor a lineage,” writes Rev. Ron Padrón, “we cannot cherry pick only what makes our ancestor – and by extension, us – look good. We take on the responsibility of sitting in the totality of the legacy they have passed down to us.”
TWH speaks with two members of the Twin Cities Pagan community, Sister Donyelle Headington and Benjamin Kowalsky-Grahek, about their perspectives on Operation Metro Surge and the community’s response to it.
