I am not sure whether someone who has not raised and slaughtered an animal that they will depend on for food can understand the fond, respectful distance I hold for everything but the dearest pets.

When the QVC hellhole that is Tiktok catches me with a mini Zoltar (“He Speaks!”) available for purchase, I add it to my cart. After I check out, Tiktok informs me they have cut the price, trying to sell me another one. Everything is a huckster in this story.
The lesson of the Tower implies destruction and disaster, but the question remains: is this change suddenly thrust upon us or is it one we seek to embrace? Do we lead and embrace the change to strengthen our nation or do we freeze allowing the change to overwhelm us?
The horizon promised forever, with the land in between rich with life and beauty. The Divine Mother was present everywhere in those fertile fields, hills, and mountains. The endurance of the land and the creatures and spirits who dwell there filled me with awe.
Fáfnir is not born a dragon. He is a man who kills his own father to steal his wealth, then turns into a dragon to embrace the gold he hoards without ever using. He symbolically represents the negation of values belonging to the culture that produced him.
