I remember beautiful stores in my home state of California that were cultural hubs, like Gaia in Berkeley, which hosted figures like the late Rachel Pollack and Allen Ginsberg, among numerous others, people who shared their unique talents and knowledge to an eager public… Alas, all these are now but a memory.
