Perder a un familiar: Una exploración del duelo desde la perspectiva de uno brujo

By Alan U. Dalul | November 9, 2025

Hace años que sabía que Cucho no viviría lo suficiente para mí. Un año más o diez más no habrían sido suficientes. Sin embargo, su pérdida me ha demostrado, una vez más, que la muerte es solo una parte más de la vida.

Losing a Familiar: A Witch’s Exploration of Grief

By Alan U. Dalul | November 9, 2025

I knew for years that Cucho would not live long enough for me. One more year or 10 more wouldn’t have been enough time for me. However, his loss has shown me, once again, that death is just another part of life.

Chilean retiree returns a piece of history to the Acropolis

By Eric O. Scott | November 8, 2025

Enrico Tosti-Croce’s father took a piece of marble from the Parthenon in the 1930s and brought it with him to Chile. Nearly a century later, Enrico has returned the stone – and discovered it is part of an even older structure.

Looking for My Soulmate in All the Wrong Applications

By Lauren Parker | November 7, 2025

Hint asks if I’m into men or women, but does not offer “both” or “neither.” You are getting your AI generated slop on the gender binary, thank you very much.

A Stunning Wooden Statue of Hercules emerges from “A Well that Stopped Time”

By Manny Tejeda y Moreno | November 5, 2025

A rare wooden statue of Hercules has been unearthed beneath Ibiza Town, astonishing archaeologists with its preservation. Sealed for nearly two millennia in a Roman well, the figure, and accompanying seeds and fruit, may reveal how Western Mediterranean landscapes and agriculture evolved over centuries.

Tarot of the Week

Tarot of the Week

Deck: The Halloween Tarot, by Karin Lee, art by Kipling West, and published by U.S. Games Systems, Inc.

Card: Six of Bats (Air/Swords)

The incoming week, in addition to being filled with the usually spooky fun for this time of year, is liable to hold promising signs of improvement and better times soon to arrive. Decisive action may be required to head off and overcome potentially difficult or troublesome situations. The need to let go of past issues and emotional baggage in order to move forward and on to greener pastures is also indicated.

Conversely, holding on to beliefs, practices, and relationships that no longer serve to provide positive aspects may prevent the ability to advance one’s personal practices, career, and relationships. Recognizing that a transition is already underway and embracing it rather than fighting it is likely to be key. Additionally, wrapping up loose ends and unfinished business is also indicated.
