Looks great! Readers may also want to check out Eric Shanower's amazing "Age of Bronze" series, a graphic-novel retelling of the Trojan War - all of it, not just Homer.
http://www.age-of-bronze.com/aob/books/1000ships.shtml

As a heathen, it's always a pleasure when contemporary artists retell the classic origin stories of the Northern Europeans and otherwise revisit or even imagine afresh the exploits of our gods and heroes.

Is it just me or is there some sort of new Germanic surge taking place lately? Several Beowulf movies are either already out or soon to be released. Marvel Comics revived its "Mighty Thor" series this summer and has a Thor movie slated for release in 2009.

Whatever the reason for the slew of publications and films, I'm delighted that the ideals of courage and self-reliance that these stories represent have retained their vigor in today's world. Without her bold defenders, Midgard (Middle Earth) and all of humanity would be in dire straits indeed.
