Solace in Paganism?

Since the high-profile arrest of John Mark Karr for the suspected murder of JonBenet Ramsey reporters have been digging into the man’s past to look for a pattern. What was revealed is that he has been twice married to underage girls, and that he has been convicted of possessing child pornography. The Rocky Mountain News has done a little digging into the life of one of the former wives, Quientana Shotts Ray.

“The suspect in the JonBenet Ramsey slaying once married a 12-year-old girl after getting her to lie about her age, the girl’s mother says…She declined to offer many details, except to say that was a horrible experience for her daughter and the family…”He was abusing her every way there was,” Shotts said.”

Quientana Shotts Ray has refused to comment on her former marriage, but the reporter did dig up one fact about her current life from the Internet.

“At one point, Quientana Shotts filled out an online profile with ICQ.com in a section marked “Wicca, Shamanism, Paganism.” She listed her address as Hamilton.”

I hope Quientana Shotts Ray has found some solace from her past in modern Paganism, and I’m glad that her past abuser has finally been brought to justice.
