Pagan Veteran Story on Culture Shocks

Yesterday Roberta Stewart, wife of the veteran Patrick Stewart who was killed in action in Afghanistan, along with Selena Fox of Circle Sanctuary were on the syndicated radio program Culture Shocks.

“Why shouldn’t a veteran who was killed in Afghanistan and awarded the Bronze Star get a Pagan Star on his headstone? Religious intolerance, today on Culture Shocks.”

Culture Shocks host Rev. Barry Lynn seemed genuinely shocked and outraged, at one point in the program he wondered if the Veterans Administration had lost the First Amendment. It is nice to see a Christian minister (Lynn is an ordained minister in the United Church of Christ) take a personal and active interest in this matter. You can download the entire program, here.

Lynn was recently here in DC for a 4th of July rally for religious freedom where Mrs. Stewart also spoke. It is nice to see a xian minister understand that our religious freedome is his religious freedom.
