Top Five Reasons I Won’t Be Blogging About "Hex"
The UK has a new Buffy-inspired show featuring witches called “Hex” (which recently debuted on BBC America). But just as I bravely resisted talking about “Charmed” (or “Buffy” really) on this blog, I don’t expect to be talking much about this series. Here are my top five reasons why not.

The girls of “Hex”
5. The witches get their power from ancient Voodou dabbling. I suppose this is somewhat better than kissing the Devil’s arse.
4. Despite the Voodoun past, these hereditary witches deal in a firmly Christian world complete with Angels, Devils, and Nephilim. You would think that after fifty years (or so) of the modern Witchcraft movement we could be given a witch or two who actually worships the old gods.
3. One of the witches is the 445 year-old daughter of John Dee (kept young by her witch-powers of course). She also happens to be a survivor of a 17th Century witch trial.
2. Lesbian ghosts (and all of the gay characters end up dead or undead).
1. The show has already been cancelled in the UK, so after you finish watching the second season that is all you get.
Yes, I realize it is a somewhat ironic action to make a blog post about how I’m not going to make a blog post about something.

Lol – am I an idiot if I find the first comment to an entry about Hex being a spammer hack amusingly appropriate?
