More Dead Dancing
Mick Mercer has pointed out a brand new tribute to Dead Can Dance entitled “The Lotus Eaters” released on Black Lotus Records.
“The Greek Philosopher Platon was considering music as a secret agreement of numbers, the Greek mathematician Pythagoras was considering life as a universal music-symphony, which engulfs and creates Man itself. That universal music-symphony was transformed into flesh and bone by the band DEAD CAN DANCE, a mystical union of the celestial melodies and harmonies. The cosmic lament has stopped, but the song of the spheres and it?s enchanting echo holds still. It really takes a lot of guts to cover the songs of DEAD CAN DANCE! So our deepest respect goes to every band, which participated in this tribute. But we think that it is even more daring and crazy to release a tribute CD to them in general!!” – Ataraxia (one of the contributing bands)
Other bands on the comp include Black Tape For A Blue Girl, The Gathering, Faith and The Muse, and Amber Asylum. This one sounds like a must-own!
