Do you feel it?

Number Nun ponders…”is there another occult explosion going on right now? It seems like it kind of died out in the late 70’s, started up with some new ageism in the late 80’s, then in the 90’s turned into this aliens thing, and now it seems to be turning back around to straight up magick. Maybe people have been really into it this whole time and I just missed it. And if I am right, what can we attribute this to? Harry Potter? Invisibles? Disinfo? Barbelith? A general dissatisfaction of the world around us? The internet easily distributing information?”

This my “first post” post

The big religion story right now is all about Kerry’s recent biblical criticism of “our present national leadership.” (not wanting to go and say “Bush” in public and distract the dogs of war from savaging Clark). This of course calls up the issue of how good a Catholic Kerry really is. What does this mean for those of us who don’t have much interest in the good ol’ monotheism? Well not much really. We all know how Bush feels about minority faiths (”I do not think witchcraft is a religion”) so we can only hope that Kerry’s Catholic show doesn’t alter his voting record or the already thinning walls between church and state.
In other news my interview with John J Coughlin (a.k.a. Dark Wyccan) is now posted on the newWitch website. Lastly…the Secret Origin of Vertigo Comics is finally revealed.
