Unleash the Hounds! (Link Roundup)

Jason Pitzl-Waters —  May 25, 2012 — 9 Comments

There are lots of articles and essays of interest to modern Pagans out there, sometimes more than I can write about in-depth in any given week. So The Wild Hunt must unleash the hounds in order to round them all up.

Happy World Tarot Day!

That’s it for now! Feel free to discuss any of these links in the comments, some of these I may expand into longer posts as needed.

Thanks for the linkage, Jason! (And the blurb.)

“Circle of Stones” was one of the first books I read, and to this day remains one of the most influential on my spiritual path. I still have the original set of meditation beads I made, but my original copy of the book is long gone to a friend. I have had to be content with a pdf version purchased from Erynn a couple of years ago, and so I’m thrilled to see the book back in print.

Krakow’s loss that it will not glimpse Her bosom…

Really? Perhaps other hills are the bosom of a goddess (Dá Chích Anann in Ireland springs to mind), but must every hill or mound be such? I see nothing wrong with leaving Krak’s mound alone.

    Here’s one from Patti Wigington – wttp://www.dispatch.com/content/stories/local/2012/05/20/timing-of-city-council-prayer-stirs-outcry.html

Also, I wonder if the Winnemem Winut was a christian group asking for the same thing for river baptisms if they would block the river.  Doh. Of course they would.

I see that there are a few live videos of Baptism of Thieves performances on YouTube. They sound, in my opinion, somewhere between early SWANS and Sonic Youth on the one hand and Earth and Sunn0))) on the other. Lots of drone and feedback, with repetitive, somewhat hypnotic vocals. Seems to be good, but I’d want to actually see them live, or at least listen to a studio recording.

Either that Tarot spread is upside down, or somebody’s about to have a bad couple of weeks.

10 Swords is one of those that is bad news either way, innit? That’s how I learned it anyway.

Thank you for the kind words, Jason!
